Why Bleach Is Not Enough for Blood Cleanup
Bleach may disinfect some compatible hard surfaces, but it does not locate hidden contamination, remove affected porous materials, or fit every surface and scene.
Blood and bodily fluids can enter carpet, padding, upholstery, seams, grout, unfinished wood, subflooring, vehicle components, and gaps around fixtures. Treating only the visible stain may leave affected material behind. Strong chemicals can also damage surfaces and may be unsafe when mixed.
